Project aimed at grandparents and grandmothers to support them in their educational task and caregiver, reinforcing the skills needed to improve their quality of life. In addition, a support of respite in its caregiving function, while fostering the self-care necessaryfor its vital stage.

The Grandparents and Grandmothers Educators program is an initiative aimed at people over 60 who are in charge of the education of their grandchildren, throughout the day or a significant part of it.

The aim is to promote the well-being of children by supporting grandparents in their educational role and, on the other hand, to recognize the role of the elderly in the reconciliation of family life and work putting in value everything they do well and is worth sharing.

Grandparent and grandmother educator schools:

The typical programming of each school consists of ten sessions of weekly frequency. This phase reflects on the role of grandparents in the education of grandchildren and addresses issues such as: self-care techniques and healthy living , analysis of different educational models , new technologies, communication skills, new technologies, bullying ...

Mutual Aid Groups:

In this phase grandmothers and grandparents choose those topics on which they want to deepen more or new ones that they find interesting and want to approach.

Individual attention:

Parallel to the two previous phases, the technicians responsible for the program will conduct personalized interviews to offer support adapted to the specific needs of each family.

Intergenerational activities and respite care:

At the same time that the educational groups with older people are developed, a respite service is offered so that the older ones can participate in the group sessions while the smaller ones carry out activities lúdico-educativas.
